2) Eliminate World Hunger and Starvation

It takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just 1 pound of meat. All that plant food can be used much more efficiently if it is fed directly to people.

One acre of farmland can feed 20 times as many people who are eating a GLAD vegan diet than those eating a SAD diet.

If the United States would reduce its consumption of the SAD diet by just 10%, every one of the 60 million people per year, who would otherwise die of starvation worldwide, could be fed.
